About Angela
Licensed Therapist
I hold a Foundation Degree in Counselling and I’m also a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. This membership ensures I adhere to a code of ethics and a framework for good practice. The membership also ensures that I maintain a high level of continuous professional development, through attending courses and furthering my skills and knowledge. I also attend regular clinical supervision meetings and run a peer supervision group to further support and inform my practice.
My particular field of interest is working with couples, I have hundreds of hours of clinical experience in this area.
I run an independent counselling practice and work in schools supporting young people who are experiencing emotional difficulties which may have come through a change in family circumstances, such as bereavement or divorce. I have over twenty years of experience in working with children, young people and their families.
Sound Healing Therapy
I offer Sound Bath Therapy sessions; to help manage stress and promote relaxation. This is available in group sessions or on a one-to-one basis.

My style of counselling
Counselling is a type of therapy which gives you a safe and confidential space to explore and address any difficulties or issues you are facing. It’s a chance to make sense of what’s going on for you in a calm and supportive environment, without the fear of judgement or criticism.
I am predominantly a person-centred counsellor, but I may also use a more integrative approach if it’s appropriate. This could mean we explore how your early life and relationships have shaped you and your current behaviours, patterns and sense of self. We will always focus on what is important to you and you will be supported to find new perspectives, make positive changes and feel stronger.
We can adopt a time-limited approach, or the number of sessions can be open-ended. We will review our sessions together to make sure the work is positive and beneficial to you.
